James G. Boulos was born and raised in Portland, Maine. He graduated from Cheverus (a Jesuit preparatory school) in 1969; Holy Cross College (Worcester, Massachusetts) in 1973; and the University of Maine School of Law in 1976. Jim is also a member of USA Weightlifting (Olympic weightlifting); the American Powerlifting Federation (presently the holder of 3 Maine records); and the National Physique Committee (competitive bodybuilding).
